  1. Such kind words from Megan:

Charmed by both of these calendars and can't decide which picture in either is my favorite really but had to choose something to display so of course the red Oshkosh overalls that have lasted the test of time (yes I know each page is filled with that statement, all pictured adorb outfits have lasted the test of time!) And the girl playing a guitar! I have never seen a picture of this age with a woman or a man playing a guitar!

Was charmed by each of the photos in both books but what struck me is how well chronicled the really old photos were, with names and dates and how interesting so many of them were, really remarkable photos.

I know these calendars represent hours and hours of combing "the archives" some archives so much older than others but still requiring a discerning eye and a willing cataloger, who is you, dear Kitti! I hope this represents a fun time & not an obligation! I know many of these topics and pictures end up as rich fodder for your blog as well so it's certainly used for very creative outlets!!

Thank you for including me as one worthy of receiving these legacy treasure troves!! They are both filled with rich blessings!

  2. Me to Megan:

You totally get the concept! Thanks for being so insightful & discerning! It is such a comfort and confirmation to know that my intention is translatable to the viewer and not just a fuzzy idea inside my own head!
Of course, you are not just any viewer, but one with a deep heart!

You’re right — on the Ancestors calendar, I tried to pick photos that stood on their own as amazing moments in time, even if you didn’t happen to know or be related to the subjects.

Also, as you already guessed, I made some blog posts out of the calendars, where I could add more text, links, background info, just for reference.

  3. Megan to Me:

All of it, such treasures & your themes easy to follow and appreciate! Don't know if all your peeps appreciate the value yet but they will eventually.

Again thank you for including me on your list of special calendar recipients!
